Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the content of learning disposition in the textbooks of Islamic religious education and moral education in the 4th grade. In primary school age children, the learning disposition undergoes rapid development. In order for later students to become lifelong learners, the nature of learning must be preserved. Therefore, the learning process in elementary schools should be able to optimize the learning disposition of students. This research is part of library research. The books for analysis were the Merdeka Curriculum textbooks with the subjects of Islamic Religious Education and Class 4 Characteristics as primary data and other relevant books as secondary sources. A checklist sheet was used as an instrument. The results showed that the Islamic Religious Education and Class 4 Characteristics textbooks had a good suitability (B) to the type of learning of the students, with a value of 3. The suitability included: 1) the suitability of the preparation of textbooks with the nature of student learning was good (B), with a value of 3; 2) the material components in textbooks lead to the formation of the nature of student learning is good (B), with a value of 3; and 3) the activities that form the nature of student learning are good (B), with a value of 3. Textbooks are an important component in learning. The ideal textbook should be a book that harmonizes with the development and nature of students according to their age.
